Masterclass: Graal Techniques with Sonja Klingler and Ruth Dresman

'Graal' is an amazing colour technique developed by Orrefors in Sweden in 1916. Get to grips with the processes involved under Sonja and Ruth's expert guidance. Open to those who want to blow themselves, and also those who want to direct the blowing An intensive but rewarding class, focusing on technique, both hot and cold, with an emphasis on colour and the application of your designs.

Glassblowing Weekend

Learn how to gather, blow and shape hot molten glass straight from the furnace. This is a wonderful introduction to glassmaking, with plenty of hands-on practice in small groups of up to four students per tutor. Come and experience this ancient craft and create your own glass objects.

Fused Glass Jewellery

Join us for a special day of fused glass jewellery making. Using clear, coloured and dichroic glass and a range of techniques, you will create your own beautiful fused glass pieces in the kiln. You will be amazed at what you can achieve in a short space of time.

Drop Outs

Extend your kiln forming experience and discover how to create vessels using the 'Drop-Out' technique. We will cover cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping. We will also look at finishing techniques. A great way to develop new ideas and skills. Some prior experience with glass fusing is required for this course.

3-Day Glassblowing (Intermediate)

Suitable as a follow-on course for those with some blowing experience, The focus of this class will be to blow independently, check the the fundamentals of the blowing "formula", and then move into blowing tumblers, colour and much more!. Fully immerse themselves in the process, move at your own pace and stretch your limits.
