Masterclass: Form and Colour with Katie Huskie
The Glass Hub Stowford Manor farm, WingfieldKatie Huskie will lead this weekend in the Hot shop, and focus upon the fundamentals of form and colour in blown glass. Her class will concentrate on the core principals of glassblowing, through the process of blowing basic forms well, and the exploration of colour with your chosen designs.
Postponed Masterclass: Casting Nature with Colin Reid
The Glass Hub Stowford Manor farm, WingfieldEngage with nature - taking the immediate environment as a source of form, texture and inspiration for casting in glass. In this four day kiln-casting course you will explore a variety of moulding techniques to translate natural forms into cast glass, working both outside in the landscape and in the studio.
Fusing doesn’t have to be flat with Nina Casson McGarva
The Glass Hub Stowford Manor farm, WingfieldCreate 3d sculptures using hot glass manipulation with traditional fusing techniques as a base. The emphasis will be on experimentation and is suitable for intermediate to advanced students who can embrace failure as being part of the learning curve in testing the limits of glass fusing.
