Extend your glassmaking experience by exploring further techniques. Over five days you will work on improving your glassblowing skills in the hotshop, revisit basic skills and progress onto colour work (including gold and silver leaf), bit-work, goblets, and sculptural glassblowing. In the kiln area we will look at further fusing techniques such as pattern bar, surface techniques such as reactive and iridescent fusing, as well as lost wax mould-making for casting. There will also be the opportunity to further lampworking skills with beads, jewellery inclusions and sculptural techniques.

We look forward to welcoming back those who have been on one of our week long schools, as well as those who have prior experience in glass and want to extend their skills . A creative, fun and action-packed week.

The Glass Hub team are all professional artists and tutors with many years experience. Although we do not guarantee a particular tutor for the course you can be sure that each tutor will be highly qualified and experienced.
